Gizela Trzmiel (2001) is a contemporary artist born in Łódź, Poland, now based in Scotland. She studied Fine Art at the Moray School of Art, part of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), and graduated in 2024 with a BA(Hons).
Gizela works primarily in acrylic paint, creating detailed figurative paintings. Her painting style is informed by the Renaissance and Dutch Masters, with the influence of Surrealist theory, Lynchian cinema, and the Gothic/alternative subculture. Her work explores themes of identity, mysticism, alchemy, and philosophy.
